Wednesday evening saw the first races of the Frank Keane BMW George Regatta being run. As is tradition the Water Wag class ran their races for the regatta on the wednesday evening before the regatta.
Conditions were near perfect with a lovely warm breeze for the 27 boats racing which was held within the harbour. Racing was very tight with a scatter of olympians and Volvo Ocean Racers providing some stiff competition.
Winners per division were:
Mariposa – Cathy Mac Aleavey – Con Murphy Div 1A
Scallywag – Dan O’Connor – Diana Kissane Div 2
Mademoiselle – Adam Winkelmann – Doug Smith Div 1B
