The Royal St George Yacht Club is delighted to host the IODAI Late Summer Championships, sponsored by Citröen South Dublin. The event will see over 120 sailors compete on the waters of Dublin Bay for prizes in; Regatta Fleet – the youngest sailors, Junior Main fleet which is for older more experienced sailors and Senior Main Fleet for the high-end racers.
A fantastic group of volunteers drawn from the George and IODAI parents are on hand to make this a brilliant, fun event. From 3 pm on Friday, trailers can be left on the Carlisle Pier (between George and National Yacht Club). The 3 fleets will store boats and rig on the pier too. Please consult the NOR for further details and schedule. Ribs can launch at the public slipway in the Coal harbour and Dun Laoghaire Marina have very good visitor rates for berthing.
Race Officers David Lovegrove for main fleet and David Bolger for the Regatta Fleet have a full schedule of races planned with the option of up to 8 races over the weekend. A great Royal St George welcome will be afforded to all and the George Café will be open to parents from 0900-2000 each day. Sailors can pre-pay for kids chicken and chips in a box, at registration.
