Description: We are excited to announce the first session in our series of Mark Laying & Safety Boat Training workshops. This workshop (mostly afloat) is designed for youths with powerboat certificates who are eager to learn the essential skills of mark laying. These skills are highly sought after and provide a fantastic opportunity for young people to enjoy time on the water, make new friends, gain valuable experience, and earn some pocket money.
Why Participate? Mark laying is a crucial skill for all waterfront clubs, especially for the numerous regattas and regular races held in the Bay. Reliable and skilled mark layers are always in demand.
Session Details:
- Maximum Participants: 16 per session
- Priority: Given to those seeking regular mark laying and safety experience/work from the Clubs and via Dublin Bay Sailing Club (DBSC)
- Requirements: Candidates must have completed their Irish Sailing Powerboat certificate training course
- First Event: Irish Sailing Youth Nationals, April 24th – 27th, 2025/ DBSC Races start same week
- Workshop Cost: €20
