Lift in 2016

It’s that time of year again when all the work is done and it is time to start enjoying the new season!
The annual Lift In will take place on Saturday April 16th with nearly 40 boats scheduled to be launched on this date – the start of the sailing season for many boat owners. There has been a flurry of activity in the Boatyard and this will continue right up to launch time for each boat. Lift in is a carefully coordinated operation between the Boathouse team and an experienced group of Boat owners and volunteers, using a large 120 ton crane.
This is an impressive and enjoyable operation to watch from the safety of the Club Deck but please appreciate that the Lift Area will be a working boat yard with no unauthorised access on the day.
