SUMMARY:Funsail Fridays
DESCRIPTION:We are delighted to announce Funday Fridays\, the first of which will take place on 11th May 2018 from 6 p.m. \nWe have listened to your feedback and taken on-board that many Club members would like the opportunity to showcase their Club to their family and friends or work colleagues. While Saturdays and Thursdays are great opportunities for this your feedback was that with the racing taking place on those days for some it may not be the ideal time to bring guests to the Club and out sailing. Often on race days\, people are rushed and the individual attention for guests can be overlooked in the hurry to get afloat. \nThe idea is to build Friday evenings into the family and friends day at the RSGYC. We want to provide Club activities in a fun and relaxed environment\, where yourself and your fellow members can come down and enjoy summer’s evening at your Club. We will have something for everyone (see below) and we hope to make the Club your first port of call for fun and food on Fridays!

SUMMARY:Dun Laoghaire Youth Laser training
DESCRIPTION:The Dun Laoghaire Youth Laser training program will be run as a collaboration between RSGYC and NYC.\nWe are fortunate to have two excellent local coaches head up the program: Conor O’Beirne will be running the 4.7’s and we have Nicole Hemeryck on the Radials. We intend grouping sailors to maintain a coach:sailor ratio of around 6 and expect to have around 3 groups in the 4.7’s and potentially 2 in the radials. \nA group of up to 30 sailors will allow for “big fleet” coaching and also bring a social aspect to the program. \nModules\nThe program comprises 4 modules which are elective – sailors can pick and choose between the following modules: \n\n\n\n\n	ModuleDatesCost €\n\n\n\n\n	1: Base Program9 Sundays (Sept- Nov)229\n\n\n	2: Weekend ClinicOct 6-752\n\n\n	3: Mid-term ClinicOct 29-Nov 2142\n\n\n	4: Christmas regattaNov 24-25TBC\n\n\n	5: UK NE Youth Championship  Yorkshire Dales SC Nov 3-4TBC\n\n\n\n\n The program is designed for sailors who\, at minimum\, have competed in regional events (in any boat) and intend to participate in the regional laser circuit in 2019. The program will be managed by our coaches and they will be the first point of contact. The overall philosophy of the group is that it is sailor driven and not parent driven. \nModule 1 Sign up- click here. \n\nDL YOUTH LASER CLINIC – Completed.\n\nFurther details are available by contacting:\n\nRSGYC Parent: Robbie Walker – Robbie.e.walker@gmail.com\nNYC Parent: Clodagh Nolan – clodagh.m.nolan@gmail.com\n4.7 Coach: Conor O’Beirne – Conorobeirneis@gmail.com\nRadial Coach: Nicole Hemeryck – nicole.hemeryck@gmail.com\n\nThe program is open to all full and country members of either RIYC\, RSGYC or NYC with boat parking paid.
