DESCRIPTION:Junior Optimist Spring training will take place on Sunday’s commencing April 24th\, May 1st\, 8th\, 15th\, and 29th\nBook online here\nSailing Starts at 12 noon every day with all participating changed and rigged no later than 12 noon. \n\nBriefing commences from here and sailors launch no later than 12.30hrs\nSailors return to shore approx. 15 / 15.15hrs.\nCredits/ refunds will not be issued for missed sessions.\n\nThe cost per sailor has been budgeted as per expressions of interest received. \nA hot snack will be available for all sailors upon coming off the water with each session. \nParent Support: It is important for you to be involved in your child’s sailing and to assist for a couple of sessions. For this reason\, we ask that a parent or guardian make themselves available for 2 ‘Parent Support’ sessions \, please enter your available dates in the form attached.

DESCRIPTION:The Irish Cruising Racing Association and Howth Yacht Club are pleased to announce that the ICRA National Championships and Corinthian Cups will be held in Howth this coming June\, 10th – 12th.\nThe three day Championships will comprise of eight fleets with racing taking place over three race areas\, guaranteeing keen racing for all participants. Back at shore\, there will be a lively social programme.\nAt the recent launch of the Championships\, the event chairman Chris Howard commented “Howth Yacht Club is delighted to be hosting the ICRA Championships and Corinthian Cups again and to welcoming sailors from around the island of Ireland and internationally. DESCRIPTION:Join us this June for the 1720 European Championships!\nBook Online Here\n\n1720 Europeans 2016 Notice of Race\n1720 Euros Event Poster\n\nDear 1720 Sailor\, \nWe would like to invite you and your team to Dun Laoghaire for the 1720 European Championships which will run from the 16th – 18th June. This event is proudly being hosted by the Royal St. George Yacht Club and the Royal Irish Yacht Club in association with the National Yacht Club. The event is generously being sponsored by North Sails\, McWilliam Sailmakers\, and Viking Marine. \nThe event PRO will be Con Murphy and we expect world class racing and hope that you and your crew will be able to join us for the event. \nTo facilitate visiting boats we can accommodate early arrivals and delayed departures as required and with prior arrangement with the Clubs. We will have complimentary Crane Lift in/Out facilities here at the Royal St. George and the same at the Royal Irish Yacht Club and will endeavour to get you launched and on to the water as soon as is reasonably possible upon your arrival. Don’t forget your lifting straps\, slings\, and fenders. After racing on Saturday\, we will also be able to get you out of the water as soon as you are ready to be lifted. \nWe expect quality race courses and racing on the water and of quality ashore\, too\, with each evenings’ Après Sail & Prize-giving planned. DESCRIPTION:RSGYC Feva Summer Training Clinics 2016\nBook Online\n\nClinic 1 – Monday\, June 20th – Friday\, June 24th\nClinic 2 – Monday\, July 11th – Friday\, July 15th\nClinic 3 – Monday\, August 8th –  Friday\, August 12th\n\nThe RS Feva Ireland Association is holding 3 Summer training clinics in the Royal St. George Yacht Club\, These clinics will be headed up by the Feva Class Coach\, Stephen Craig\, with the assistance of a number of other current RS200 and recent Feva sailors. It is open to sailors from all clubs\, and of all abilities. We will have separate on and off the water coaching sessions for more experienced Feva sailors who want to improve their boat handling and tactical skills and for those who are new or newer to the class and want to learn how to sail Fevas. These clinics are open to sailors from all clubs – all are welcome. If you are interested in doing any of these Feva Clinics\, but don’t have a boat or someone to sail with let us know and we will see if that can be arranged. \nClinic 1 – Boat Handling. This clinic will focus on improving boat handling and there will be a real focus on spinnaker work.\nClinic 2 – Pre-Nationals Racing Clinic. This clinic is taking place the week before the RS Feva Irish Nationals\, which are taking place in Greystones Sailing Club from Monday\, July 18th – Wednesday\, July 20th. The focus of this clinic will be on prepared for racing\, and will incorporate the RSGYC Junior Regatta\, which takes place on July 13th. The fee for the clinic includes entry to the regatta.\nClinic 3 – Feva Adventure. The focus of this clinic will be “having fun in a Feva”! \nThe sessions will run from 9:00am – 5.00pm each day\, and lunch will be provided by the club. \nThe cost for each clinic is €175 per sailor.

SUMMARY:RSGYC Summer 'Sailstice' 2016
DESCRIPTION:Monday the 20th of June is the Summer Solstice\, so join your fellow Members in celebration of this day for a ‘leisurely sail’ on the Bay which we are calling the ‘RSGYC Summer Sailstice’.\nMembers and friends are encouraged to muster at the pontoons from 6:00pm – 7:00pm and depart for a leisurely sundowner cruise. All boats are welcome. This is not a race but a fun cruise to mark the longest day of the year. \nA course will be agreed upon Muster\, weather dependent. Current forecast is calling for Southerly winds from 14 – 20 knots. Fingers crossed that it will be mild and dry\, also.
