SUMMARY:Visit to Glasnevin Cemetary & National Botanical Gardens of Ireland
DESCRIPTION:An interesting opportunity to join us in Glasnevin Cemetery for refreshments in the Milestone Gallery ‘s private room with wonderful views.  The guided tour (about 90minutes) includes visiting  historical graves  of Parnell and many famous people who built Ireland today;   a visit to the museum;  and a 200 step ascent to  the O’Connell tower (optional).  Enjoy lunch either in the Cemetery Restaurant or the Botanics Restaurant or in one of the many famous pubs nearby.  At 2.30pm there will be a guided tour of the National Botanic Gardens.  There are nearly 50 acres and over 17\,000 different plant species.  The Rose Garden and the Herbeaceous borders should be at their best at this time of year. SUMMARY:Presidents Cup & Hansa Nationals 2019
DESCRIPTION:             \n  \n \n  \nThe Royal St George Yacht Club are hosting the President’s Cup and Hansa Nationals 17th & 18TH August 2019.   \nThe President’s Cup and Hansa Nationals (inaugurated by Paralympian John Twomey) is an Irish interprovincial regatta. This year the provinces will comprise teams of 2 squibs\, a Hansa and a 2.4m sailed by athletes from Sailability and WeSail.  Some may have buddies. This is the major national event for Sailability with two fleets.  We aim to make it a memorable weekend for both the 30 plus competitors and for the club. Come on down during the weekend to see some of the action!  \nWe would also be grateful to any member who would be prepared to volunteer to do one of the many tasks be it shoreside\, crewing a rib or helping behind the scenes. DESCRIPTION:End of Season Race- quick… enter now!\n \nJoin together to celebrate the end of another wonderful sailing season at this year’s Annual End of Season Pursuit Race. \nThis is truly one of the Club’s most enjoyable events as it is run solely for the Members of the Royal St. George Yacht Club and is a fantastic opportunity for all of the Club’s Sailing Classes to come together to enjoy some competitive rivalry! \nEntry is free and racing will begin from 1800 onwards followed by a Prize Giving and the option of a BBQ or supper in the Dining Room. There will be many special prizes to be won on the day including awards for Day Boats\, Wooden Boats\, and this year’s new awards for ‘Best Dressed Boat Overall’ and ‘Best Greeting to the Committee Boat’. There will also be the annual RNLI collection on the night. \nEntry is available now by clicking here.\nSailing Instructions  and Handicaps will be available soon \n  \nWould you like to assist with the End of Season Race?\nPlease join us aboard the Committee Boat where your assistance will be most welcome (why not bring along some ‘refreshments’ to aid the crew).
