DESCRIPTION:Guided Garden Visit Tour Wednesday 31st July. Departing from the club at 9.30am \nDargle Glen\, Enniskerry. A unique opportunity exclusive to the Royal St George to visit these magnificent private gardens. \nHunting Brook Gardens\, Blessington. Visit the gardens of Jimi Blake the author of “A Beautiful Obsession\, Jimi Blake’s world of plants at Hunting Brook Gardens” \nAs we walk the garden it’s impossible not to gasp at his exuberant\, highly idiosyncratic style and marvel at his acute eye for interesting plants. Foliage plants play a key role\, their finely cut leaves\, extraordinary shapes and rich textures changing the way we think about trees and shrubs. In another bold move\, cacti and succulents are summer planted to provide interesting pairings with hardy perennials while jewel-box geums\, dahlias and salvias are carefully chosen for their long flowering and perfect hues. \nLunch at Hunting Brook Gardens. \nCost is €40 to include lunch\, coach transport and garden admissions. Places strictly limited to 30. \nTickets MUST be paid for in advance at the Club Reception (cash only)
