SUMMARY:Alice Roche Yoga
DESCRIPTION:Alice discovered yoga in 2014 and it quickly became a practice she could not do without.  Having lived abroad working in the fast-paced Superyacht industry for more than ten years\, Alice returned to Dublin in 2016 and embarked upon a year long\, 250hr yoga teacher training programme at The Elbowroom. Throughout this year\, Alice discovered a deep understanding of yoga\, movement and anatomy; her most poignant discovery however\, was the positive impact yoga has on people and more significantly\, community. \nAlice believes that yoga is for everybody\, and that a little bit of self-care goes a long way. SUMMARY:Youth Team Racing Training
DESCRIPTION:It’s that time of year again when we start to think about Team Racing for our youth sailors. We will be holding training sessions every Wednesday evening starting this Wednesday (July 17th) and we would like to encourage as many sailors (aged 14 – 19) as possible to join in. We would ask that sailors be down in the club by 5pm to get the club fireflys rigged and be ready to get out on the water by around 6pm.  \nThe idea of the training is to get as many young people as possible involved in team racing – those who have sailed on club or school teams in the past\, been involved on Oppie team racing and want to move on to the firefly\, those who did the TY team racing during the winter or those who just want to give it a go and see what its all about. We will be holding a session every Wednesday between now and the end of August\, in preparation for the Elmo Trophy. We appreciate that lots of people are/will be away on holidays or at the various sailing events but try to make it down whenever possible. There will be a small cost for the training sessions to cover the use of the boats and ribs (€10 per session).  There will be a payment form on the club website. \nThis year\, the Elmo Trophy YouthTeam Racing event will be held on September 7th/8th. Last year we had 4 RSGYC teams\, and we would be happy to have even more if the interest is there.
