DESCRIPTION:Join the Rear Commodore Sailing – Frank O’ Beirne as he hosts the RSGYC Laying Up supper in the Club Room. This supper will be an informal and fun gathering of boat owners\, friends\, family and Boathouse staff to mark the laying up of the boats after the Lift Out on Saturday. \n  \nThis will be an opportunity to meet fellow Club members\, boat owners and crews as all reflect on what was a great sailing season. Tales will told\, fun will be had. \n  \nFamilies and friends are invited\, Juniors too. Dress is casual as will be the atmosphere. There will be a ‘Club Table’ for fellow Club members to join. \n  \nThe menu is a Starter of Beetroot & Goats Cheese Salad with a choice of mains of Roast Supreme Of Chicken served with leek & Mushroom Sauce or fresh  Pan Fried Hake Served with Roasted Almonds and  a White Wine  sauce. \nCost is €25 \n  \nPlease call Laura 280 1811 or email events@rsgyc.ie to reserve your place or table for the evening. \n  \nWe will look forward to seeing you on Saturday evening.

SUMMARY:IDRA 14 70th Anniversary October 15th
DESCRIPTION:  \nCalling all present and former IDRA 14 sailors.  The IDRA 14 class is celebrating its 70th birthday. Designed by George O’Brien Kennedy\, the 14’ dinghy was to become the cornerstone of the Irish Dinghy Racing Association\, which became todays ISA.  134 IDRAs were built in total\, and approx 50 are still sailing. The IDRA was always closely associated with the Royal St George\, and will hold their 70th Birthday dinner here on Sat 15th October at 7.30 pm.  Booking and payment is ONLINE  \nThe class would also like you to bring along any photos or other memorabilia on the night\, or contact Ian Sargent (0876791069) or Suzanne McGarry (0872425331) to help them include your items in the display’. \n   \n
