The Dun Laoghaire Cup 2026, hosted by the Royal Irish Yacht Club, delivered a fantastic weekend of racing, with Royal St. George Yacht Club sailors producing outstanding performances across multiple fleets.
In the Dragon class, Phantom secured an impressive overall victory after six races, while fellow RSGYC sailors also featured strongly, with Titan, helmed by Ben Cook, taking 3rd place and Serafina (Rhona Murphy) finishing 4th.
In the ever-competitive SB20 fleet, Michael O’Connor & crew sailing Ted delivered a standout performance to claim 1st place after a consistent and well-executed regatta. RSGYC sailors were also prominent in the B211 class, with Kieran Kingston aboard Vamoose securing 2nd place and Vincent Mulvey following closely in 3rd aboard Plan B.
The Flying Fifteen fleet, with 13 entries, saw extremely tight racing, as Sean Craig and Stephen Boyle emerged victorious, winning by just one point, while Frank Miller and Cathy Booth placed 3rd . In the Melges 15 fleet, Jack Fahy and Adam Hyland claimed 1st place after a strong series, with Scotia Ryer and Mike Huang taking a well-earned 3rd, highlighting the depth of talent across the fleet, and overall, the regatta showcased excellent racing throughout, with RSGYC sailors consistently performing at the front of the fleet.
