Invitation to attend Maritime Gala Ball at the Royal Marine

Saturday 16th May Atlantic Shackleton Maritime Ball Royal Marine Hotel, Dún Laoghaire, from 18:30. An open invitation to all members to celebrate the launch and the Foundation’s mission.

The Shackleton Foundation has extended a warm and open invitation to all members of the Royal St. George Yacht Club to join them for their Maritime Gala Ball — a celebration of the Spirit of Shackleton and everything it represents for Ireland’s next generation of young seafarers.

“The Foundation is building something with long-term ambition around youth development, ocean health, education, leadership, maritime heritage and community engagement — and Dún Laoghaire, with its sailing community and maritime history, is such a natural home for that work.”

This is a wonderful opportunity to meet the people behind this exciting initiative, celebrate what’s happening on our doorstep, and be part of an inspiring new story for our harbour and our community. We hope to see a great George presence on the night.
