Royal St. George Yacht RIB Club

Do you have a RIB – Like adventure? – Join our RIB Club Group.

We are looking to increase our numbers in 2027.

Our Club within the Club was created in January 2026. We now have 40 members, of which half have a RIB.

Its a new way for members with RIBs to connect, explore and enjoy some great days out on the water together.

May 23rd this year, we had the very successful Cleggan – Bofin RIB Run in aid of Cancer West Charity.

Six St. George Yacht Club Ribs joined 55 other RIBs for a great weekend which raised €19,300.

We also did 2 – 3 Sunset RIB Runs to  Dalkey & Killiney Bay.

Countrywide RIB Runs are growing each year. Here are some stats for 2026.

Bull Rock Run – 87 Ribs / RIB Rendezvous Scotland – 250 RIBs / Inishbofin RIB Run – 61 RIBs

Baltimore RIB Run – 17 RIBs / Redbay Run  – 50 RIBs / Corrib Run – 48 RIBs

We are now in planning for 2027

We will certainly re-visit the Inishbofin Rib Run. A Westport Quay to Clare Island & back Rib Run has been suggested, & I have looked into Accommodation, Restaurants, Route, Parking etc.

The big one will be Dun Laoghaire to Lambay Island which is planned for the Spring. The planning meeting will happen shortly. This could be the FIRST & BEST YEARLY East Coast outing.

We already have 22 positive YES replies. We will let you know about this trip soon.

The idea is simple: bring club RIB owners together to share relaxed, fun adventures. We’ll organise occasional outings during the year. Plan the trip and work out a Safety Plan.

Club coordinators Marc Little and Brendan Foley would be delighted to have a chat, hear your ideas, and help shape future plans.

We look forward to chatting with you if you have any questions
